An'Katie helped Gabriel unwrap his first present for his upcoming birthday. We opened it early because she got traded to the Titans and is now a southern belle...

Grandma gave a wonderful 1st Birthday present...A Big Boy carseat! Now we can ride forward and smile at mommy. Thanks, Granma

Bridal Shower

We had such a wonderful time at Naomi's bridal shower! I can't wait for her big day. She's going to look stunning and the party will be crazy fun! At her 'honeymoon' inspired theme shower, she recieved some very cute and some very sexy attire... Aaron is such a lucky guy.

Well, today he learned he can blow raspberries back on my skin. And he learned he can pull himself to a standing position in his crib! So, Ian is dropping the crib mattress down a level so we don't go overboard. He is changing, growing, learning SO Fast!

Trunk show!

Yesterday we went to Bobbi Fisher's trunk show. We all had so much fun. I bought myself a cute hat and Jocelyn bought Gabriel these darling slippers. Aren't they funny! Gabriel was so busy visiting with new people and helping me shop that by 7pm when we finally left, He passed out. I mean passed out. I checked on him in his carseat and he had fallen asleep almost immediately with a fistfull of hotdog bun clenched in each hand.

This morning

I heard Gabriel quietly mumbling to himself early this morning so I went to his room to go get him. I found him sitting up in his crib! I laughed at him. I wonder how long he had been up, patiently waiting for his momma.

Big Day!

HIS FIRST TOOTH IS IN! Yes, Gabriel's first tooth finally broke the surface. (the lower left) This may explain why we've been napping more lately. Earlier today we napped together for almost 2 hours! :) Strange to feel so happy and proud over something so minor.

I love my mother's day gift! So I thought Gabriel should be pictured in it since he is the reason I'm being honored and all...

Zoo

Gabriel and I checked out the zoo the other day. What fun! For me, that is. Gabriel paid attention to the elephant and to a gorilla, briefly. Other than that, he didn't seem to care or notice the animals. Weekday zoo time is great. Fewer visitors, all of which seem to be mom's and strollers.

Going to School

Yes, Gabriel went to the 3rd grade today!! What a smart boy! No, we visited Miss Milici's class and partook in an afternoon devoted to exercise. We watched girls do some yoga while others played kickball. Miss Milici's class is very talented they all sang to me to on the phone yesterday. They were so good I thought it must be a CD. I saw some of the watercolors the kids were working on and have to say some paintings are quite pretty. Gabriel and I would like to go back and visit soon, but Miss Milici says her class must be well behaved to earn visitors. Be good for Miss Milici kids, so we can come back.

Big boy food...

Gabriel has been determined to try whatever momma is eating. He watches me intently and then reaches out so he may try some. Here is Gabriel tasting peas and drinking water. For lunch today, he tasted mashed bananas.

no more laryngitis but fighting bronchiolitis. no fun. his lungs should clear on their own but we'll check back with his doc. in two weeks.

Sad , Sick Baby

My poor little guy has laryngitis! Who ever heard of this on a 5 month old anyway. He's in good enough spirits and doesn't seem to much be aware that when he opens his mouth to make noise nothing comes out. It's really kinda cute. Nothing we can do but wait it out and for now he'll sleep next to me so I'll be sure to know when he needs something he would normally cry for.
