Sad , Sick Baby

My poor little guy has laryngitis! Who ever heard of this on a 5 month old anyway. He's in good enough spirits and doesn't seem to much be aware that when he opens his mouth to make noise nothing comes out. It's really kinda cute. Nothing we can do but wait it out and for now he'll sleep next to me so I'll be sure to know when he needs something he would normally cry for.

A New Baby and a Lobotomy

No one told me just how out of it I would be post pregnancy. Many times as I'm hanging out with friends and family I find I'm not really all there; that the world around me seems to be off in the distance. Endless hours of breastfeeding, sleep deprivation has caused me to lose several IQ points.

Perhaps there is a reason for this inability to think clearly or stay focused. As a stay at home mom, I'm required to spend most my time making goofy faces and talk nonsense babble with my child. He doesn't expect anything more of me and I love it. I don't need to number crunch, plan strategically my fiscal month, or focus on job training. My brain power is spent thinking of how to entertain a tiny little person, who's entire world is a two foot mobile circle around him.

Poor little guy

We had our 4 month check up yesterday and we did not like our shots. Gabriel was okay for a little while after his four immunization shots but was really in a lot of pain last night. My poor baby. Today he is lethargic. He's just not himself; he doesn't want to laugh or play at all. He's still favoring one leg; not wanting to put added pressure on it.

He is now 14 and a half pounds!! and in the 50th percentile for weight and in the 75th percentile for height at 26 inches! He's also right where he should be developmentally. We're still working on learning to roll from back to front. Although, he's not a fan of being on his tummy so I can't imagine why he'd rush to learn that trick.

I have many darling photos I will post soon!
